了因佛性

The second of the three Buddha-nature "causes", i.e. [lang id =1028]正因佛性 is the [lang id =1028]真如 as direct cause of attaining the perfect Buddha-nature, associated with the [lang id =1028]法身; [lang id =1028]了因佛性 is the revealing or enlightening cause, associated with the Buddha-wisdom; [lang id =1028]緣因佛性 is the environing cause, e.g. his goodness and merits which result in deliverance, or salvation.

了謂照了。 謂由前正因發此照了之智， 智與理相應， 故名了因佛性。
